In 2019, the University of Wisconsin Whitewater conducted an extensive survey on the economic impact the Delavan Lake water quality has on the surrounding economy.

• Data was based on 523 survey responses

• 56% of local business owners believe that the quality of the lake impacts their business

• Business owners rated the quality of the lake a 5.7 out of 10 (on average)!

• 40% of boat pass holders indicated that they would use the lake more if the lake quality improved!
